Halcyon Care Homes Senior Management team hire Cole Amusements, Catering Providers, whilst Layston Groves kitchen is re fitted to ensure the highest Health and Safety Standards.

Halcyon Care Homes providers of, Hazel End Care Home in Bishops Stortford, and Marham House in Bury St Edmunds, have recently taken over the Oakdale Care Homes. During the acquisition of these new homes, site visits took place.

Upon the first visit to Layston Grove, it was noted that the kitchen floor was not up to the Health and Safety Standards expected from a Halcyon Home. Due to the uneven flooring, Halcyon deemed this a hazard to the kitchen team.

Halcyon Care Homes took the swift action to bring in a contractor to lay new flooring, in order to achieve this Halcyon’s Facilities Manager Lee Underwood and Layston Groves Maintenance Officer worked through the night to prepare the kitchen for contractors to start work straight away.

Meanwhile to ensure our residents were provided with outstanding catering services, the team searched and hired Cole Amusements to serve meals for the duration of the kitchen works.

Thanks to Cole Amusements our residents and team provided fantastic feedback, throughout the day on all meals served including some delicious desserts.

Layston Grove, operated by Halcyon Care Homes, is a residential and dementia care home where residents and staff have recently received their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccination.
