Throughout the Christmas period Hazel End Care Home have been inundated with donations, cards and gifts from Schools and the Community.

Hazel End would like to say a massive thank you to the kind and generous people and pupils who have taken time out of their days to send wonderful gifts and brighten the days of our residents.

Our long list of Thankyous includes Sleigh Bells, for sending us cards, Whitetrees School, for the amazing crafts and cards, and Farnham school, for their lovely cards.

We would like to give a special thank you to Gill Pardoe, who delivered presents for each and everyone of our residents. Gill had been fundraising in the community to deliver a bag for each resident, which were full to the brim!

Gill Pardoe commented “I was glad to be able to spread a little Christmas cheer to our older friends in these troubled times. I can’t wait to see the pictures, have a lovely Christmas all of you”.

George Lifestyle Assistant at Hazel End said “It’s so overwhelming to know there is so much support in the community for our residents. It means so much to our residents to know there are people out there who are thinking of them, especially in such uncertain times. Thank you to everyone who has fundraised and donated, from all of us here at Hazel End. You have made such a difference to our lovely residents this Christmas. It has been so touching to see the Christmas Cheer of generosity and kindness”.

Hazel End fills each month with a varied selection of activities so that resident can always find something that interests them. It is important to us that our residents maintain their health as well as their sense of fun. This month residents have been kept extremely busy with a continuous stream of Christmas based activities.

Hazel End Care Home is staying hopeful for next year and is looking forward to opening our doors once again so our resident’s friends, families and loved ones can be involved in all home activities and events.
